Title: Engine block info
Post by: jerry merrill on May 16, 2020, 11:04:43 PM
I have a 65 fastback r-model replica that i run in open track and I have found 302 block that I have little or no info on. It is a D8VE-6015-A3A that came out of a Lincoln. These are supposed to be just like the Mexican 302 block with large main caps. Anyone know of these, how are they not well known?

I believe the "3A" have a standard main cap and not the bigger main caps .

It seems strange that Ford would put a more stout engine in a Lincoln instead of maybe the F-150 truck.
