My convertible top works normally but when it is folded the first fold remains forward of the top of the back seat by about 1.5 inches. I have been searching the internet for pictures of 69/70 Mustangs or Shelbys to compare to mine. It is possible that the top canvas was made funny or it is equally possible that there is nothing wrong at all. A pic of what your top looks like folded would be appreciated.

Eric, these are not the best, couple I caught in my area over time, I'm sure some else will come up with more detail, we have a great resource here !

Did you get your question sorted out? I have a 69/70 and as the top folds down the bottom or first fold goes forward, then I push the second fold towards the back of the car. The last fold goes to the back as well. The very first fold or bottom one is just a little over the back seat trim and I tuck it down prior to placing the boot on. I'm stating all this from memory and can always double check if you need me to but feel 98% correct.

That is how mine is configured but it just seems odd to me that it really covers the top of the backseat. I will post a picture when I get out to the garage next.
