This Mercury Cougar XR7 is one of 357 examples optioned with the GT-E package for the 1968 model year and was sold new in Alberta, Canada finished in gold over matching leather. Power is from a 428ci Cobra Jet V8 and a three-speed C6 automatic transmission that were equipped as part of the GT-E package, which also included special trim, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, handling and cooling upgrades, a center console, an eight-track stereo, front headrests, and more. The car was acquired by the seller in 2020 from a friend with whom it had spent the previous 10 years. This Cougar XR7 is offered with a Deluxe Marti Report, partial service records, and Alberta registration in the seller's name.

This GT-E is "one of one" with the Grecian (Gold) Metallic.  It was also built near the very end of GT-E production.

The "357" count is the 427 engine cars.
