I saw my first '67 GT500 in 1975. I had heard Doors music before, but probably started really liking it around '78-'79.

I don't know when I learned Morrison had the '67 GT500, maybe around '84-'85?

Thanks for posting Michael.  I'm surprised they didn't interview Dave or even Bret from Cape Cod Mustangs.  I believe he owns the registration.  Calling it just a "missing Mustang" is up for debate though.  If it ever did turn up, we might see a new world's record for a Mustang at auction.

I hadn't seen this pic of 'ol Jim sitting on the hood before.

I question if that photo is real .

Probably should have brushed out the turn table.

Well, maybe Mr Mojo has freakishly long calves? Sit on the fender and see if your feet touch the ground?

And why doesnt Jim cast any shadow on the car ?

I guess I'll never understand the fixation on this Shelby.  A rocker owned it for a short time, didn't abuse it any more than anyone else did at the time.  Anything special about it?  Did it jump a few cars in a roadblock at the bridge?  Set any speed records?
   Who gonna find it?

You burst my bubble Pete.  I kinda imagined Jim having a turntable installed in his Hollywood Hills home's garage so he didn't have to back down that steep driveway.  Smart guy!

Probably fake, but his right foot could be planted on the ground and the left leg hanging.

Thanks for posting & so the 3rd theory is that Jim is still alive & still has the car ,can't wait to see him pull into a car show with it  one day lol

I remember back in the late 70's (pre-interweb) when Morrison faking his death was a favorite theory of music fans.

Secretly. I want that to be the real answer!

LOL!    ;D
