Title: 67 deluxe interior radio question
Post by: 69mach351w on October 22, 2020, 04:20:07 PM
Will the 67 standard interior radio fit into the 67 deluxe interior?

My late Dad in law had a cheap am-fm cassette radio installed into the deluxe interior of his 67 with the console. It quit working a long time ago. I'm driving it more often now and want to replace it.

Seems that from what I have seen, that the radios swap from standard to deluxe interior?  Any help would be appreciated.

The factory AM, AM/FM, and the tape deck/AM radios all fit into the same dashboard mounting face plate.  And they also fit the factory console face plate (although that was not used on any 67 Shelby).
Of course, it is worth mentioning, the the standard - most installed radio in a 67 Shelby was the AM radio.
There is no difference between the standard interior face plate, and the deluxe interior face plate that these radios fasten to.
