Title: Port hole hood
Post by: gt350bp on November 04, 2020, 07:24:27 PM
Has anyone seen after about 10 years being painted, a port hole hood adhesive bleeding through and being able to be seen? My port hole hood has noticeable splotches at each adhesive location bonding the hood together. These were not visible until after about 10 years in a sunny Florida environment. Car is garaged, but used often?

Another questions. Who makes the best side exhaust in 2 1/2" diameter for a 65? I'm thinking JBA but would value any first hand experience.

Thank you.

Don

I've taken photos, but the adhesive splotches do not show up! I'll try later today out in the driveway. My theory is it is some type of chemical bleed from the adhesive. Only visible as you sight down the hood from different angles. My car has been painted 27 years with Glazurit (sp?) paint system and still looks presentable except for these splotches.

Its got to be a repo, as I bought it in about 1990. Can't remember who I bought it from. Will have to check my box of invoices.
