Title: R Model diecast
Post by: deathsled on November 19, 2020, 01:05:37 PM
In Germany at the moment inspecting the "troops" so to speak.  My son trashed the Charlie Kemp R Model I gave him several years ago. I discovered it upstairs in the attic missing two wheels. I was able to recover the rear wheel. The front one remains missing. I wonder if I can find a replacement.  The body is fully intact. Maybe I can find a diecast jack stand for it if I cannot find another wheel.

My stepdaughter sent my cherished Creative Masters' GT350 cascading down a flight of stairs... There was something about paying near the price to replace pieces compred to buying anew that challenged my sensibilities. I retain the vacuum cleaner bags searching for pieces to this day, 25 years later... guess I should give it up and give the model a patina look... much like your jack stand idea.

There may still be hope. I found one wheel in the attic. The other may be in a heretofore unexplored box.

A Gestapo search (appropriate terminology for the present venue) of the attic did not reveal the fourth wheel. I still may find one online. The poor R Model.

That is so cool! Thank you! Now I have a backup plan.
