Title: Anyone Know This Car
Post by: eric lipper on November 28, 2020, 09:16:11 AM
I am thinking of going to look at this car.  There was one that looked identical that ran on Ebay for a while but I am not sure if it was the same one.  It is at a car dealer in Dallas who I know nothing about.  Here is the link but the website is clunky - at least for me I have to let the site stay open for a bit before I can click on it.  I have not seen a KK number on the car and, quite frankly, I don't know a ton about the Boss 429 other than the obvious.  If any of you can give me any information on this car I would be appreciative.  At $279K it is on the higher side of life but it claims to be a fresh restoration from an unknown restorer so I am dubious that it is correct.

Take Ed with you. Mustangs don’t have frames so the first sentence in the ad is not accurate.

Someone went to a lot of trouble to do the detailing but forgot the pinch weld blackout  ::)

Thanks for the info.  Trying to figure out how that car was on Ebay for a while, as recently as a month ago, and now if you look in completed auctions it is nowhere to be found?

I think they(non-informed) just like to use the "frame-off" phrase, just like people like to use "Barn find".

I think "Barn find" is accepted now as time goes on in a sense that it don't matter where vehicles are found, it'll always be a barn find ;D

Take Ed with you.

If I knew who Ed was I would contact him.  The car is high priced enough that there is no way I would buy it without someone who knows what they are doing.

I looked in the member list and if you put Meyer it comes up with nothing.  If someone knows what he posts under I will PM him.  This car looks good but given how many times it has been through the auction I am dubious that it is really a good car.
