From the ad:
A real 1967 Shelby GT500 that has been meticulously restored from top to bottom. This is an original 4 speed, 428 dual quad, Nightmist Blue Shelby that retains a ton of originality.
All options and colors are confirmed with the Marti report, including all Shelby and Ford VIN stamps.
Anyone interested can reach out for a full description and detailed pictures.
Damn, that's a nice looking car.

I believe this is 67400F2A01983, previously owned for many years by Ray Jones of Linden, NJ. I compared the ad photos to ones I took of the car when I looked at it in 2017 and many details match. There have been some detail improvements, such as the shifter, which was a Hurst when I saw it.
I spoke to Ray early in November and he told me he had sold it to a buyer in Columbia, NJ. The car had previously been advertised in Hemmings Motor News, I believe in 2019, for around the same price.
Ray was a rep for a major automotive paint company and the finish on the car is very well done.
Would a car as late as 1983 have the rear valence chrome exhaust trim originally?

No.
Any chance anyone got a screenshot of this ad or remembers the price? Curious what this car was listed for.
Is this the car, I have it in my files as for sale in New York, Dec. 2020 ? I have nine other photos I saved, if any one's interested.

If I recall correctly, the asking price was $175,000.
That's the one. Here's the full page as I have on file.
Thanks to Bill Collins for sharing the Shelby VIN
I really appreciate it!
A friend had asked me about the same car when it was for sale. Looks like it was a good deal!
Mike,
Please share photos. Thanks

#1983 resurfaces. This time at $259,000. I guess prices have jumped in the past few months :o

Fallout (or would that be fall in?) for being near the color of Morrison's.

The quality of the cars offered varies so much that they are difficult some times to put a price tag on. I actually think that this is a fair price and may even be an "average" market value.
They are similar to the B9's in that respect.
Sometimes the thinking of value is, "you should be able to swap it even for an '05 Ford GT or a B9" and not put a dollar tag on it except for insurance. Speaking of insurance, you need to consider what the replacement cost would be? That's what the insurance company would be thinking.
A '67 GT500 MIGHT also be more desirable as a really nice driver rather then a "Consourse level" car?
I know previous owner and Painter of this car ... The car is very nice and looks like someone is trying to make a quick flip of it
The color of the paint on the bottom of the floor pans is closer to what I have seen on these cars rather then the oxide red. This thing is pink in these pictures.
