I'm looking for a radiator for a 69 m code auto no ac radiator. I'm told it is a c9ze d part number. 2174157748

Troy, just in case the exact radiator is a issue that is a replacement . It will work but not what came on the assemblyline. It is a viable replacement however if factory stampings and date codes are not critical. Fortunately a base auto trans radiator for a M code is one of the most common that you come across used original for that year. If for a driver I would personally upgrade to the wider 24" larger capacity M code radiator used on AC equipped cars so that you don't have to worry about cooling issues.
the radiator Im looking at has fomoco on top but no0 number on the side and looks small in the car
The base radiator which is what a no a/c calls for does look small in the car because it is only 20 inches. If it has a Ford top tank and no numbers on the side strap then it could have been messed with before OR is a WO MO SJ plant radiator that typically had the numbers on a tag that was soldered to the top tank where the side straps are soldered . The tag could have come off. the factory Dearborn radiator had the engineering number stamped on the side straps. It just depends on your expectations of date codes and engineering numbers. I suppose instead of a exact match all things being equal on look and condition the one your looking at may be the next best thing.

I might have one. Need to find it in my attic. I'm not sure of the exact application as I got it several years ago and just don't remember. Gary

That is the type I would recommend for a driven car because it is the extra cooling radiator like used on ac equipped 69/70 GT 350.
let me know if you find it Gary
Here is a C9ZE-D radiator so you know what your looking for. This one might be a little to far gone.
