Something really cool is brewing in Southern California and this October everyone will be able to check it out.
It's going to be awesome!
Google: Segerstrom Shelby Event Center
Awesome doesn't quite describe it

Before we all put on our judging hat would like to point out that the pictures shown on the web site are computer generated not real cars ;) At least the top banner one at least
Should be a great place to check out

Anyone know the list of cars they actually have in their collection? Just curious, nothing more, nothing less.

Nope, I don't know of a list and sure the family would possibly like some to remain private. There is a fair number of notable cars though. I would likely overlook a few and not sure what might have been added or left the collection in the last couple of years.
Sure they will choose many interesting cars from the collection, may rotate them with others they have but sure the ones they choose will will include some unusual, notable and those that have not been seen in public for decades or since they were almost new. Should be exciting as I've not seen some since the restorations.
They may be waiting for the opening to unveil some or many of the cars that have not been in the public light since very few were covered after the restorations. Don't want to spoil the surprise :)
Here is an article that was published a few years back about the collection. Think it was posted in a thread back then. Fair number of cars, that I am aware of, have been added since then, The following should get you a general idea of what was in and how large the collection is or was at the time

And another with Tim Lea in it

They have nearly 100 Shelby cars. There is only room in the museum for 86. They are awaiting a lift to get through customs so some may be displayed on the 2nd floor.
This collection was literally being kept in a barn on their 40 acre lima bean farm near South Coast Plaza.
See my earlier post if you want to get in on the first day festivities - note a tux isn't required just a coat & tie.

Reading the one article they owned the first of every series Cobra but 2000. Article in 2016. Do they own 2000 now?
CSX2000 is owned by the Miller Collection of Salt lake City. It was has been on display at the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, CO.
