Would anyone happen to know the Shelby ID for this Coventry Motors parade lap car?
The event is noted as Laguna Seca; June 9, 1963
The caption said 260, but would the "Powered by Ford" fender emblem indicate a 289?
It appears to have full bumpers with a rear exiting exhaust.
Thanks

Not an engine size badge, production car side emblems started with CSX2001.
It appears to be a very early car as it does not appear to have "Shelby quick open" bonnet latch handles.
Thank you for that information Dan
Rich, if that's a 2000 car, I went through my 4th. edition of the registry, and found twenty nine cars, 1st one CSX2019
and the last one CSX2552 that passed through Coventry, there are also a number of cars that the selling dealer is unknown. I
haven't yet read up on each car.
Is the person behind the wheel in the military ?, he has a patch on his shoulder.

Thanks Mike.
29 new cars is too many to attempt any ID. I was hopeful someone might know. Maybe, maybe not.
Not sure if that is a military, security, or other service patch. It's too blurry when I try to zoom in.
There's likely no way we'll ever know for sure what car that is. Coventry bought several black/ black early Cobras, all with painted wire wheels and options such as wind wings and sun visors, as seen in the photo, prior to June of '63.
Thanks Ned
