Anyone found a replacement trunk weather-strip for a convertible that isn't hard as a brick? Had the trunk lid fitting perfect, but now had to adjust the latch up to even be able to close after gluing on new weather-strip.

The carpenter one is the best but the trick is how you glue it. At the 4 radius points leave rubber 1/4" away from fiberglass. Smith even had an issue with these as we've seen original cars with body side lip beat down with rubber mallet

Thanks. I have the carpenter one installed, will see if I can pull it back and re-glue.

Got mine from Va Mustang.... had to take the "hard" off... couldnt even shut the decklid :) Softer one did MUCH better

Glad you got it fixed.
After I retrieved my car from the restorer I used, I had to return it for, among other issues, the rear deck not closing to lock unless I applied considerable force and multiple attempts. When I got it back, it worked much better. I asked about the fix and the guy told me he bought the wrong weather seal. He said he bought a fastback weather seal and it had the wrong profile.
