Hi all! just became a member and will like to present myself, being around mustang's all my life! family had a GT350R 67, various 65,66 and a 65 shelby clone, I´ve had a 65 HT 289 and now I´m the proud owner of a SAAC MK1, number 062, quite an impressive car to say the least, attached some pictures from my dad and uncle racing and of my 65 and SAAC!

SAAC MK1
I thought a very nice introduction. Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum!
Thanks for the nice introduction and pictures. I didn't know the MKI 062 was for sale. Maybe it was a private sale.
The previous owner and I talked on many occasions in the past. I hope the family kept the black '67 Shelby GT350.
I'll send a follow up PM shortly on 062.
I like the photo of your SAAC MK1. I don't know much about them so thanks for peaking my curiosity, cool car.
welcome aboard 8)... the club has always stated - "enthusiasts welcome" (or something like that)
Thanks for posting, and welcome to SAAC. Great cars and history !
In your two photos of the start of a race, is that the Partida de Las Seis Horas Peruanas, 1966 ? (spelling ?) The image of cars on
track is that also the same event ?
I have the one photo, but not the one showing the drivers running to the cars, thank you !
Mike
welcome

Peru?
You would be quite surprised the number of HiPo Ford/Shelby cars that are in Peru.
Of the 30 production MKI's built (plus 6 prototypes), 5 were shipped to Peru, all exported at the same time.
They were the first 1992 models built.
All 5 are still in Peru.
