Title: Original license plate frame?

I believe this to be an original Cobra Carroll Shelby Motors license plate frame.  Can anyone confirm this as original from back in the day or possibly an early repo?

Nope, not original frames. The first tell-tale is that originals do not have the two mounting holes on the bottom.

Typically, the originals will have the manufacture cast into the back of the frame, which is "THE BOWER CO".   Your frame appears to be an earlier reproduction.

Your pictures match a pair I bought from Branda in the late 70s or early 80s.
