yesterday was the first Cars & Coffee at Paradise Cove (a little north of Trancas). maybe 40-50 cars, although cars were still arriving at 9am, as i was leaving . . . parking is $8 with validation from the restaurant . . . smaller than Trancas (there weren't 500 new Porsches), but the quality of cars was excellent. indeed, i don't remember seeing any "modern" cars at all, except a Ford GT . . . i expect this to grow.
first Sunday of the month. next event is June 3.

Not to mention, that's the former Rockford Files TV series location where Jim's trailer was located and more than a few car chases and shootouts took place.
I ate there recently, at the Paradise Cove restaurant/bar, and the food's pretty good too.
Worth a look-see if you're in Malibu area.
there will be at least a few Shelbys at Sunday's Cars & Coffee at Paradise Cove.
