Title: Should We Start a 2022 '67 Registry Corrections Topic?
Post by: DGSOH on April 18, 2022, 11:47:06 AM
Got my registry today - awesome! Somehow the wrong photo was used - bummer.

Thanks to all involved to produce and distribute the book. It's a difficult and tedious task I'm sure.

EDIT: Maybe a running updates and corrections topic? For example, at the time of the submittal (3+ years ago) #0066 did not have a correct for '67 rear axle housing and carrier... it does now.

You can send your complaints to the Registrar. As it turned out the photo in the book is of your car. It just isn't the photo you wanted. We are sorry that occurred. It appears that the format of the photo you preferred was not usable.

Received my Registry today.  I must say it was packaged very well, in fact, almost bullet proof.  Fortunately, it contains no errors.  Thanks to all who made this Registry possible.

By the way, I was going to post in the '67 Registry Topic, but it is locked.  Anyone know why?

I think by corrections the starter of this means, some have mis-information here and there, that's all....I have looked up my previous cars and friends cars and found errors most likely due to people not updating, and some missed. Not blaming just honest errors.

Maybe the Registries, like the Cobra Registry, should be online. Then updates & corrections can be immediate. ;)

Those "Eleanor" owners are not going to be happy about not being included.  Maybe a supplement next April first. ???

Based on the scenarios outlined in the e-mail from SAAC the issue seems to be with the bindery department at the publishers', not anything to do with SAAC or that was their fault.

This post is just about honest mistakes, that may or may not have happen. Reasonable people understand that humans make mistakes or might miss something about their car.

Mine finally arrived yesterday  looks great no issues caused by printing company /

Big thanks to  Dave Nancy Yvonne and  the saac crew that helped

Anyone with a complaint should  think about how much time these people have given to make these books happen and be as accurate AS Possible its a constant moving target of owners and historys being changed and updated  .

Received yesterday and all is good! The packaging was ripped, but the Registry was in-tact. Appreciate all who were involved in getting this done. The efforts that are required to collect and maintain these records is monumental.

Thanks again to SAAC for continuing to be the guardians of history that they are. I also hope some previous owners will become curious of the current status of cars they have owned and will reach out to SAAC and connect with current owners who always want to know more about their cars history.

Haven't received mine yet.............sob, sob.   However, all you have to do is own another marque aside from a Shelby and you quickly realize that there is still a driving force behind preserving these cars and actually more importantly, a fantastic group of individuals that are almost always willing to share their insight, experience and opinion on just about anything that you are curious about on your car.

I have camped out next to my mailbox and people are starting to stare...........................

The dealer codes we are using are the same codes we used in the previous Registries. Look at page 1312 of the 2011 Registry.

Like I said, #14 on page 1312 of the 2011 Registry and previous Registries is Theodore Robins Ford in Cosa Mesa, California.
