OMG - the episode was about athletes and their cars. One of cars that Jay...ah...tried to drive, was a 50th Anniversary 1968 Shelby GT500KR C.S.S.
HOLY SMOKES! The car didn't run for anything, and they ended up showing Jay stuck along the side of the road MANY times...even cursing, as he couldn't get the car to run right. :o
Aren't these being reproduced through Shelby American?!?!
Doesn't change the already low opinion I had of them ;D Just confirms my thoughts....
Yes I saw it and was wondering what the deal was. Very strange.
I thought they were going to put Tesla electric motors in them and you could just drive them with a joystick? Huh?
I jumped on to the Jay Leno garage Facebook page and they have the first part of the show you can watch. He's driving and says right away his displeasure with it not running well.
Why would Jay drive a high dollar car that wasn't running correctly and why would he allow a show with his name on it be broadcast, let alone videoed to begin with?
Watched the show... this should have never happened. Someone should loose their job. It should kill the Market for this, but as they say the is an XXX for every seat. Definitely not wise on the part of whoever is building these things.
we recently had the pleasure of watching and listen to one of these vehicles start up and propel itself for short distance.
we just viewed jays lenos episode with the red mustang and it seems to be the same one that was recently in the miami, fort lauderdale area

Maybe that's why Leno did it....

Possible, but he'd never admit it! 😀
I can't believe they didn't have someone test drive it first, like a producer, to make sure it wasn't a waste of time! Or maybe they wanted it for good tv
