WOW....
I like the exposed headlights! One of these cars is on my list. It is just such a fantastic car, even though its a PU-ick. That is when GM was happening. Buick runs in my family, My mother's uncle was sponsored by her father to come to the US. He got a job at Buick in Flint. My uncle Steve, (mother's brother) every few years ordered a Buick and drove out to Flint and picked it up. How did I end up being a FORD Guy? Oh yes, by the 70's all my father's Buicks turned out to be bad cars. Still LOVE the Electra 225, Riv's, and those Wildcats!! (of the 60's)

That is a great photo! The dissonance of the uniform contrasted to a "primitive" automobile is...fascinating.

That picture would make a GREAT picture for the wall.... You got to love that there is no finger over the license plate and it shows who the dealer was!!!!

About 15 years ago, I was in the green room of a TV news show I worked for (KTLA Los Angeles) waiting for my car segment, and in walks Leonard Nimoy. It was early morning and he and I were the only ones there.  We chatted about everything BUT Star Trek (I was polite and didn't ask) but I wish I'd known he was a car guy...or at least enough of one to have owned that Riv.

He was very friendly, gave me his card and invited me to a concert at a Jewish synagogue in Hollywood he belonged to. Sorry to say, I didn't go. Would've been neat to have known him a bit.

I did mention that I'd recently had lunch with Shatner (a mutual friend put us together, as I was pitching a TV series idea and was interested in him as the lead) and Nimoy just kind of grunted and didn't add anything.

The dealer was in Westwood. Upscale part of LA with UCLA and lots of movie star homes. At that time it was a budget Beverly Hills where someone lived after they made it but were still rising to the Holmby Hills, BH income level.

Now if I could only find the Mach 1 that Miss San Francisco 1951 owned. Used to see her driving it around town when she and Michael Ansara lived in West Covina.
