Its a done deal. My dad now owns the Boss over the 2016 Shelby GT H. Thank you Transport Canada for your obstreporous approach!

Looks awesome! Congratulations.
Much better choice. Gorgeous car and good colors!
He'll have fun terrorizing around in it I'm sure. I hope I live as long and still have a lust for automobiles. But does it ever really go away? It goes dormant I submit.
Kind regards,
Richard E.
Correct me if I am wrong but that red was not offered on that car.
Must have been added later.
It looks great tho,...don't get me wrong.
I added red to my black 2004 Mach1
The black 2012 LS was black red but the 2013 black LS was with like a Silver stripe kit.
Car he bought..

My favorite B302 combination is matte black stripes on a black car.
Here's the link.

Never seen a 2013 with red stripes.
The photo brochure in the ad which is red/black is a 2012.
Their ad says 501 black LS with red Hockey stripe (for 2013) is not correct.
Cool car, hope your dad enjoys it.
They say one of only 501 black paint with red Boss 302 hockey stripe. Perhaps they were trying to say only one with red stripe combo. They are supposed to be black stripes. Maybe it's a clone. Lol!
I looked at the brochure on their website with picture of stats and it decodes to 501 black ones made. Only 1 with red stripes.
1 of 1! 🤓

Unless I'm missing something, I'm with Bigfoot in that the stripes from the factory should be black.
The red candy car was a charity car and I think that car was all red in color.
I've found Flemings isn't always 100% accurate with their descriptions of cars.
Either they don't know anything about what "granular detail" is or they just don't care.
Or sloppy
I can't imagine that it's a repaint or restripe that is and I don't believe Flemings created that list. And it's susceptible of two interpretations. Was the red one done with red stripes? I'm going to get to the bottom of it though. It merits further inquiry. I do like the red regardless. The car checks out on Carfax re mileage and no accidents though carfax is not infallible.
congratulations, nice car

Out of curiosity, are the stripes reflective?
That I don't know re reflective stripes. The car is slated to arrive on Tuesday by trailer. I also just got off the phone with Ted Britt Ford and they could not confirm or deny veracity of factory red stripes. The mystery deepens. The truth is out there...somewhere. I want the truth! There's anyone's cue for the set up.
I have a 2013 School Bus Yellow LS. I was trying to research the reflective stripe material to do some graphics to match. My research concluded you could not get that material anywhere as it was made special just for the LS cars. I might start there, as if it's reflective it might be something "special" from the factory. If they are not reflective I would be guessing aftermarket.
The hockey stick seem all black on the cars. I wonder where the prior owner found red though they appear factory. Still checking.
Mystery
All the bosses of 2013 have black stripes that I can see. That gives rise to the presumption this car had black stripes and red is aftermarket. I'm okay with the red though. Someone must've gone crazy with a hair dryer trying to peel off the black. I'm still checking.

I have only seen 2 types of Black Reflective Vinyl, one turns White and the other Turns Gold. I put Black Reflective Graphics on my 2000 Gold Mustang and when you looked at it at certain angles, the Stripes disappeared. I believe the 1969 BOSS 302's had the Black stripes that turned White.
Maybe the car went through Gas Monkey. Remember the black Ferarri F-40?

Stripes look factory but makes no sense. They were either silver or black on LS cars.
Either way the red stays. These pics are way too big. Hmmm

Needs a lowering with Ford Racing T springs and then change the rims to Ford Racing flat black.
Those rims are nice but heavy.
Best bet is to go with 302R rims.
18x10
That's what I'm running on my car.

Does anyone know what type of Savini rim this might be? I think it would look good on my dad's Boss. That and lowering springs.
Congrats to your dad - you two will have fun driving to SAAC Sonoma this year. He'll enjoy pointing and laughing at you from his air conditioned car while you are sweating in the July/August CA weather. If you are coming let me know.
Sweat but no tears. I'll let you know for sure if we do. My 9 year old son is flying in from Germany on July 14th so that changes plans though. We shall see.
A day for detailing the Laguna. Ran out of car wax for the doors and rear quarter panels. Using Sonax carnauba wax. He's coming to get that car like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse...

Does car have the LS number on the brace under the hood? it should come with a nice kit from the factory that I would think any previous owner would have included...cross braced where back seat goes? I have a 13 LS School bus yellow...

It's on the plenum from what I can see. VIN on plenum matches the car. I love school bus yellow. Hard to avert one's eyes...I want a yellow one for myself.
Best regards,
Richard E.
There it is.....congrats... ; )
I'm actually having the Ford Racing springs installed on my 13 LS as we speak. I just couldn't take how it looked in the back. Much to high. I will let you know how they come out. I have to look back, but I think they lower the back 4".
Bigfoot, How about a picture of your set-up with the rims. I had looked into those and was curious how they would look-
I'm very interested to see how your car turns out with lowering springs. My dad's car definitely needs. They are one hell of a ground pounder car. I'm big on the yellow but black is hot too. The red striping has to be aftermarket by prior owner. Zero evidence of it being factory.
Richard E.
That is a Badaxx car. Very desirable and collectable.
New tires every week will be a problem ;)
Enjoy,
Stubee
Tires are Pirelli P Zero. They seem to attract a lot of road debris.

Those are good performance tires. The debris is because they are sticky.
The GT500's were unfortunately given Goodyear F1s and they aren't very sticky until they are red hot.
They sound like keeper tires therefore. Not crazy about the rims. A set of black ones would look better...That's up to my dad what he likes...he's going to be in Chicago next week. It will be interesting to see his reaction to his car. And watch him go for a drive.
Pirelli are EXPENSIVE. After you use these up, you may want to check out Michelin, Continental, Toyo and others.
