Title: Help identifying hole in firewall

Anyone know what this hole on the left side of the firewall is for?

Did your car have A/C at any time ?

It looks like the right location for the AC knockout, but hard to see if it is the correct shape?

The shape of the hole and that sharp looking burr in the middle of the hole left side looks to be previous owner installed. AC or something else.

Doesn't have AC now.  Sounds like it's not a stock hole, so that's helpful never the less.  Sounds like I should plug it up.
