Copied this picture for the purpose of showing 17" Shelby 10 spokes installed on a 1967 (clone).
And, verifying my old Photobucket link.
My eyes say worst side stripe placement ever.

Good Lord - looks like a white rainbow.
Um, trying to be polite here...optical illusion??? Alternate universe?
I dislike the 17" wheels more than the terrible stripes :P
Just goes to show that the old maxim is true: Don't drink and stripe..... >:(

+1
Sad, as the wheels and tires are the quickest of the two to change.
+2
The stripes are straight. The frame is bent.
Looks like Ray Charles put them on.... LOL
Picture disappear ?
Or is it just me?

Don't know what is going on with the Photobucket link. I can't get to my account at the moment, they may be down.
SAAC forum linked now.
The wheels have tapered spokes more like the originals. Most of the newer reproduction wheels have hardly any taper in the spokes. This wheel has a 225/45 tire installed. More tire choices available with the 17 inch wheel.

I think the wheel itself is nice. I also understand 15" tire selection isn't great, but for what you spent on wheels, you could have put 15" Avons on.
IMO, 60's pony and muscle cars just don't look good with anything other than 15" wheels and meaty tires.
The guy that put on the stripes must have trained at the same school as the guys that put the stripes on the roads in my area after the streets are paved. Must be from the fumes from the adhesive. 8)
"Rubber band "tires never look right on a vintage Shelby IMHO..

For the record, "you" is not me. This is from an eBay listing. I agree with the sentiments of "Rubber Bands" and period/vintage looks. I do appreciate the taper in the spokes compared to other reproductions/continuations I have seen recently.

I got that impression right off the bat. ;)
I used "you" in a very general way.
One has to wonder if it's even a real Shelby ???

+1 for sure
Ebay listing states it's an "A" code GT fastback.
The right side stripes don't drop off the ends like on the left side, but the waves are off the charts.
Who ever put those on should be fired. (or if by the owner, needs their eyes checked).
That alone will keep the price low.
