Post by: DragwayRipper on July 13, 2018, 11:42:13 PM
What was the actual diameter of the exhaust on 65 GT350's? For both street and race as equipped in Venice? Also were the ends straight cut or balogna cut like the current repro kits offered? Thanks -Dean

2 inch street exhaust . Typically angle cut at end on street exhaust. Race exhaust was many times 3 inch.

Pictures of many very early cars appear to have "straight cut" tailpipes. Later, it appears that the tailpipes were cut at an angle.

Hi Brant, what would you consider early cars? 1-25, 1-50, 1-100, etc?

Thanks!

With no documentation, very few cars with the original exhaust, and a handful of original pictures, I personally believe it is not possible to accurately determine that.
