Title: Louisville Interested
Post by: SNAKEBIT on September 10, 2018, 11:29:21 AM
Hello. I just joined last night and I was wanting to know if any part of Kentucky is part of the Indiana SAAC. I did find a contact for a guy in Louisville. Thanks.
Jeff

Are there any members in Kentucky or central-southern Indiana that are members here? I'd like to make some contacts.

Oh! I used to live right across from Harvey Brown Presbyterian. I went to kindergarten there. We lived there from the Summer of '69 to July 1, 1976. I made my very first friends there and went to pre-school at the YMCA that used to be around the corner. Walked to Holdaway Drugs when they used to be on the corner. My cousins and aunt and uncle lived one block down on the same street, Browns Lane. Those were some of the most magical memories of my life. Went to 1st grade at St. Matts Elem.

Hi SNAKEBIT, I live in Palmyra, IN., about 45 minutes from Louisville. I will be going to the Buffalo Trace Park Car Show this Saturday in Palmyra, and maybe to the friday night cruise in at Burger King in Corydon, IN. I have been wanting to come to some of the cruise in's and cars&coffee there in Louisville. Maybe we can get hook up sometime. I have been a member of Indiana SAAC for nearly 30 years.

Guess what guys? I was able to change out the 2 front strut assemblies on my CR-V today! I've never done anything like that before. I just watched a YouTube video twice, bought them and I installed them. It took me about 1 hour each. I bet I can fix and change things on my future Shelby, too! I ran into a thread problem with the right side tie rod thread. Something deformed it right where the cotter pin goes in. When I removed the nut, the pin came out with the nut in pieces. I chased the threads with a die. It was good to go after that. I'm gonna post this in the lounge to see who else has fixed their own cars.
