Hi all,
I am surprised no one has posted anything on this car 6S1060. It was on the same site (Geevers) as the recently extracted 67 GT500. Does anyone know about it and its history? For more pictures see:
http://www.geevers.nl/en/inventory/shelby-shelby-gt350-barn-find-893?m=&t=&y=&c=&s=&cl=&sort=
Also, I did send the seller a note to get the price, but he instructed me that I need to call during business hours. Will I be charged for an international call if I make from my cell phone? I also need to check the time differences.
Enjoy
Cory
Yes you will be charged long distance rates from your cell. Way around high rates? Go to a 711 and buy an international phone card for $5.00. That should give you around 2 plus hours of talk time. Great find and good luck.
Best,
Richard E.
P..S. You may need to drop the zero after 31 depending on where you are. 31 is the country code for the Netherlands and from the US you need to dial 011 ahead of the country code. They should be 6 hours ahead of New York.
Tried to sell some cars to Geevers in the past.
I wasn't impressed.
Maybe from a potential buyer standpoint your experience will be better.
Great look in my eyes. I would do some deep cleaning and get it going as is to have something different. I'd love to find an "as found" Shelby basket case state side! Real curious how much they want (probably too much after the filth premium).
Finding something unmolested and filthy is as good as it gets, next best is possibly a forgotten kicked to the curb or barn. :)

Cory,
I emailed the seller and this was his response: (I asked if it had the correct block, carb and air cleaner. I also asked if that invoice was for this car because they don't show a photo of the VIN plate.)
Its the correct vin yes,,car sits sinds 1972 carb is not correct heads yes block also but don't know if its matching block need to check when it is here in Europe, 78k euro wil sell it for that's what I want for it,not its still in California but wil be shipped shortly iam the owner78,000 euro => $89,834.32 american dollars.
Looks like a fairly complete project. A start for someone. Rusty floor pans, but that doesn't stop a lot of people. The latest registry says the where abouts of this car is unknown, so it is cool that another one has been "found".
Hi Brian,
Danny Geevers replied to my second inquiry about the call. He said 78 euros. The car is still in the USA if any one is interested, but won't be here for long.
Take care
Cory
Wonder when it came west. The condition sure would have put off buyers if they tried to sell it locally
Good luck to whomever ends up with it. Just hope it gets repaired - one to watch
That's interesting ....

I agree with Jeff, good project car, needs work but would love to see it back on road.

Agreed. She wants the road again, galloping at speed along the asphalt once more.
Don't we all......
Yes unless you are a Millennial in which case you want your iPhone. (Not all of course but the bulk of the evidence "leans in" toward this hypothesis).
Don't leave home without it....
The registry shows the car MIA. Another one found and accounted.
Good deal
Cory
$90k ?? Obviously you guys see something I don't :-* Looks like the drivers floor is hanging down ? You'd be so upside down in the car$$$ wise. All my old eyes see is a money pit. ::) Cool find though.

Hi Gurmpy,
"Good deal" is for the car is no longer MIA. The asking price is not such a good deal. I agree with you. The metal work will be expensive. It is the not seen rust that should scare any potential buyer.
Cory
Just seeing the photos in reply #1 and that paperwork is cool stuff!!
Great to see one of the early's found!!

Ahhh. ok .. Old brain didn't read between the lines. 8)
Here is the registry info on 6S1060, consistent with the delivery sheet. Looks like the dealer had about $1000 potential profit plus any accessories that they may have sold with the car.
Danny Geevers says "This Shelby is a real project but as an 1 owner family car and sits from 1972 its kind of a cool find!!! "
I am assuming Howard is updating the registry info. "Car found in California, offered for sale from the Netherlands (Geevers.nl/nl) for 87 Euros October 2018." or something like that.
