Title: 67 Vent window glass replacement
Post by: alexgt350h on December 04, 2018, 02:51:15 PM
Need to replace the vent window glass on my 67. Where can you find replacement rubber that goes between glass and frame? Or do you use something else besides rubber?
Funny, of all the work I have done on Mustangs over the years, I have never had to change just the glass. (Original frames damaged, using original glass to my car)

Thanks
Brent

Butyl tape and mineral spirits per this article:

;D After spending way to much time trying to find butyl tape for window installation, finally broke down and took it to local glass shop(Siemers Glass , Evansville, IN).
For $5.00, and a 20 minute wait, they used the correct material, and installed the vent window glass in the frame for me.

Now, on to the next item that needs my attention---

NPD sells the Butyl tape in the catalog. I ran into the same issue.
