Title: AMK Shelby FE Intake Bolt Issues.
Post by: 1967 eight barrel on January 08, 2019, 10:34:01 AM
I just thought I'd advise those who were using the AMK intake set for the 1967 GT500 that the new set they are offering have a B instead of an A headstamp. They are also a few threads shorter, which if you mount your coil on the left front side of the intake may not have enough threads to allow you to torque the bolt to 32 FT Lbs.
I called Max to let him know, but I haven't got a response yet.

Keith, the head stamp/makers mark on the bolt head is not a issue because nether A or B is a typical marking on a factory bolt. They used to sell the correct marked bolts many years ago but like many of his bolts little by little the original looking fasteners are running out. The shorter thread count how ever maybe a issue. AMK may not be aware of the typical 67 GT500 coil mounting position. Thanks for the heads up.
