I had a 66 and a 67 , miss them dearly, plain jane white with poverty caps. Fast as hell... ran 10s most people at gatherings asked what is it? I told them its my grandmas car, I'm fixing the loud exhaust for her. ;) They are a true anomaly, love em or hate em. I love em...

I love '66-'67 Fairlanes.

I have only seen white 427 cars. Nicest one I ever saw had a 540 inch 429SCJ between the shock towers.

I can't tell if it's love or infatuation? I want to explore that more. 6,000 set as the redline on the tach huh? Was that Grannie's red line? 8)

Believe I saw this one run a few times back in the day.

Use to be another up in an old garage next to a house out in the country I drove into many years ago. Car was rust free and in better shape that the garage was. Never too the effort to knock on the door or the risk  ::)  Just a unmotivated day I guess.

Found it by just going to a couple of gas station garages in town and a parts house and asking who had a hot Ford 'round there

I'm blessed to own a 66 and 67 and they are incredible cars.  A Pure, Raw Beast is the best description :-)

Cool car! I had the fortune of meeting Ed Terry out in the middle of nowhere between Escondido and Palm Springs, very nice guy.

This car was owned for many years by friends of mine here in Montana.  It ran the local drag strips back then with the moniker "Justice" before being restored back to the original paint scheme.  I was fortunate enough to meet Ed Terry and his wife when my friend flew them out to authenticate the car before the restoration...very nice, gracious people.  Ed shared a wealth of information and autographed several items for us, in return we treated them to a real Montana steak dinner. This was all a few years back, I can't believe the price range/value it has risen to today... and far from the old fairlane in my neighbors garage!

I was gonna ask if your friend has any relation to the famous Randall "Memphis" Raines but then I noticed the difference in spelling  :)

Ronnie was a fortunate guy to make some money as a young man working hard, and has been spending it to enjoy the rest of his life.  He has been quite dedicated to the Wounded Warriors, and much of what he does now revolves around them.  I am sure the money he gets from selling his large collection will go that direction too.

Ed was a true gentleman as many of you have noted. He was always very good with his fans and a darn good racer too. This was a very well known car and it's great to see it was respected over the years. I saw it race many times.

Very reasonable $ estimate given it's history. They are still racing around here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzQcK6A0fvQ
