Title: Technical or how to section
Post by: CSX2259 on February 15, 2018, 02:28:31 PM
I thought it my be helpful to our forum members if there was a technical section or a "how to" for those looking for assistance on what parts to use or how to repair issues with our vehicles?

And or a cross reference section for an alternative to OEM parts, i.e. HP289 distributor cap with HEI ends.

How would you like to see that organized?   Topics and subtopics... etc?

Hello Ron,

Either under the SAAC Forum or Off Topic Area add Few sub forums; "How To", "DIY", "Instruction Manuals" and "Cross Referenced Parts" make it so that replys cannot be added and if there is a comment or objection to the post it can be addressed it in the regular area of the forum where a PM can be sent to the OP to make corrections or removal.

As an example I have a number of various Stewart Warner instructions to service various aspects of the SW240A fuel pumps. An alternative to the HP289 Dist Cap that has HEI ends. Alternative Dist Cap to the Accel 37000, 39000 series caps in Black instead of the Accel brown cap etc.

I'm sure other folks out there have their secrets they may be willing to share. Just a thought.

Cheers,
~Earl J

So... more of a Reference Library than a Q & A or discussion?

Does that work for the group?
