Ran when parked...

I seem to remember seeing this 'car' or one like it on eBay a number of years ago.  Anyone else remember that?

I just love it when guys think they are smart by covering up the VIN

I am guessing if that is whats left of the original car, there is another one

Those are helicopter blades.  According to the registry, this car was first owned by Matt Helm as a back up to his Lincoln Mark III.

That would be my fear!    :o

We had what was left of a chassis and parts for a real '67 Fairlane "R" code, given to us by the owner and friend, who had sold the title and "R' code unique parts off of it. The "new" owner, who I knew of, who purchased the title and "stuff" intended to make a fake, sorry, I mean to "re-body" it, left behind the drivers door with the tag still riveted to it for the "S" code car destined to acquire the "R" designation.  I had considered finding this individual and explaining that I had the "proper" door and tag for his not "R" code car, and wondered if he might want to buy it, and make it go away.      8)

     Scott.

Not sure why he bothered to hide half the Serial Number when it is posted in full just above it  and the covered part is just below it

I put this this in the same category as a couple of others that have recently popped up. If it doesnt have the Shelby numbers, you cant prove it was a Shelby.
