Post by: TedS on August 08, 2019, 02:36:47 PM
Can someone provide placement information for the dash emblem on a KR?

Thanks in advance

Just a friendly bump. Assuming 350/500 and KR emblem placement is the same, maybe someone could post or send me a photo. I can do proportions to figure dimensions
Thanks
Ted

Always in the same place regardless of model

Its actual covering up the holes of the former Mustang emblem

I used the 3 holes in the metal dash behind the wood grain piece to mark the holes to mount the emblem. But I have an original 350 emblem not sure if KRs are different? But this method worked very well.

I dont think the production KR emblems used mounting studs

350/500 emblems are pin mounted and go in factory Mustang emblem holes. KR are adhesive backed. After measuring many I am convinced they were hand placed and vary +/- 1/4"  If you cover the factory hole "triangle it kind of only can go in one position +/` 1/4"
