Sad......the owner is a one of the good guys
Car is a drag pak
Has a 427 as well.....watch for a "new" to your area 427 for sale
watch out for any new 69 Shelby parts for sale on Craigs list etc. Im guessing they didnt know what was in the trailer and it will show up
Unfortunate about this, let's hope it is recovered !
I've passed on the info to some one I know that is in British Columbia, who is involved with the motoring community.
Mike
side oiler
edelbrock performer heads
It wouldn't surprise me if that car isn't bound for an overseas destination. It happens more often than not.
makes me sick. please keep us informed.
I am in British Columbia and this notification has been all over social media in the car community since it was first reported yesterday. Hoping they catch the culprit and recover the car for the owner!
Thanks all - I am the poor sap owner, unfortunately no gps installed on 9F02R482585.
Original fibreglass except for right front fender. Has HD C9AF relay and new correct regulator.
Previous owner trying to track down engine casting #, dates. May have vin on rear block, it supposedly came out of W-code Cougar.
Sorry, I was unable to post the preceding this morning.
Update: Car and trailer recovered late this afternoon in Penticton, BC
All intact except for missing two full jerry cans and two spare trailer tires.
Luckily for me, thugs were not professionals car thieves but looking for easy hock items.
Thanks to all for your support and diligence.
Best Regards,
Daryl

Stoked!!!You won the lottery!!!
Amen brothers!
Oh man, that's about as good of an ending as you could've hoped for! So happy for you!
Great news mate, happy to you
That's fantastic! You should go right out and buy a lottery ticket!
Great to hear you are going to be reunited with your Shelby. Great finish to a bad day.

great news Daryl hope to see you next year at I.M.M. ;D
This is great news!! Very lucky!
Congratulations! It would be great if you would share the circumstances of how it was stolen, discovered and, if anything you would do differently to avoid said theft.
So did they catch the numb nuts that did this or are they out looking or another adventure? 8)
Will get all details together when things calm down.
Short story is car/trailer stolen from Residential RV pad in the rear of property.
Lock on the hitch cut off, 2:45am Friday morning. Some other means of immobilizing trailer would probably have ward off small-time thugs as these.....
Last I heard Police are monitoring thieves movements in hopes of catching them in the act or leading to stolen property hideout. The surveillance footage acquired does not show conclusively who was in the truck....
Fantastic news!
As a side note, if you know or could find out what W code Mercury Cougar (GT-E) your engine came out of that would be important information for the GT-E registrar to have (if he doesn't have it already).
Feel free to PM me any info and I will pass it along to the registrar.
Congratulations again!!

Are those W blocks stripped like the service blocks are?
I don't know - my mechanical knowledge is very limited.
I'm sure Kerry (sportyworty) would know.
Speaking of which, I sure miss him here.

+1 on that Phillip. Talk about a walking encyclopedia...
Sporty is doing just fine. Spoke to him a month or so ago. Hoping to get out to see him this fall.
