Title: holley question please

Hi all,
So I need to change the fuel filter on my 715 cfm Holley(67 GT350)
would anyone know the over the counter part number for it?
could be Fram or some equivalent. Maybe where to buy

do you have the proper 1 inch adaptor at the carb?  If so its a different thread than the stock mustang filter

Yes it does have the larger adaptor.

I believe it is a FG-15 with the adapter or FG-14 without.  Some one please correct me if I am wrong (may have the numbers reversed).  Kurt.

  If you have an original Autolite filter, might be the time to get a rubber stamp made for the new filter.  Just saying.

Hi all,
Thanks for the help , I will try to find an FG-15 ,
and yes it would be nice to re stamp it with Autolite 
at least it would look closer to correct.

       Are both clear and gold irridite acceptable? I believe I have both in NOS and want to keep the "assembly line correct" color. Red ink stamp on both.

Randy,I have seen both the zinc silver and the zinc dichromate filter finish. Consequently I do not deduct for ether . With that said when the gold wears off it has a silver base underneath which may explain the silver ones I have seen.  Silver would have to be the earliest version.Maybe a transition in mid 66 if it happened?Maybe had to do with transition from Rotunda to Autolite.
Gold is the expected finish and may get the least push back. I have gold filters in 67 dated star boxes which are the oldest I presently have. If there is a consistent feature it is the hex base and the finish of the hex base. The hex base is  thicker squared edge on the early filters compared to other versions with a contoured upper edge- metal stamped late 67-69 and ink stamped with date codes 70 model year -up . Also the base hex was silver on the early styles regardless of finish on the upper portion.

   Thanks as always Bob. If I were to extract my head from my posterior , I would have seen that the silver filter says Rotunda and wouldn't have asked. I'll keep the Rotunda as most of my dates are in '65 on my engine. The gold one can find a new owner in the future.
