The Ford GT 40 is a converted Mark I racing car. This photo was taken at Reynolds Ford's truck facility in East Syracuse NY in 1969. The photographer was my father Robert Wood and the kids are my younger siblings (twins). I was away at college.

Rodster-500 , thanks for posting, love those photos from back in the day  8)

Here's a link, in which Grant Miller the sports writer mentioned in one of the comments in your post, is also mentioned, ( with a

connection to another car) the top car with the kids is blue, doesn't have the FORD letters on the nose, the car in your link is

maroon, has FORD on the nose, different cars.

Regarding the maroon car in the original post, someone more knowledgeable than me (which is everyone) thinks:

"...the maroon color, as well as the bent radiator intake bar ID it as GT40 P/1018 - Shelby American's demonstrator..."


Regarding the blue car:
