Title: The season is winding down

in this part of the country that is.  Had a decent run yesterday, running the gas down before filling up with 93 slotted for next weekend.  She behaved well, the few times I was out this summer in red.

Hi Deathsled,

Love your car.  I have a question on the placement of the Mustang emblem in the grill.  It seems to me to have been placed much closer to the center of the grill than I have seen on other cars.  Is this a personal preference?  Or maybe how the car was originally built by the SAI plant?

Things must really be heavy in you part of the world such that the things are tipping over.  Maybe the emblem slid over during the tilt.  (Just kidding)

Thanks

Cory

It's interesting, as now is the run up to the end of the year in the south. Usually, things slow in the dead of summer due to the heat. Now, the final push for shows and time to drive more comfortably.

Camera angle gives it a little more drama. As for location of the running horse, I estimated and put it on myself. Could be off a bit as I am learning from other photos I've looked up.  Could be worse. My front end could look like this.

No disrespect meant Richard, but you are misinformed.

For the sake of other who may think this is a good way to shoot pictures consider the following.

One of the basic rules of photography is if there is a horizontal line in you shot, be sure to keep that line straight. A tilted shot does not make for a more creative image.
There are as always exceptions to the rules, but with a main subject(car) this is not the time.

I don't know when this tilted shot phenomena started, but it only make viewing the photograph difficult.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Learned it from my father. He was a cinematographer, director, producer in Canada and was the main cameraman for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1950s tv Hockey Night in Canada.  He stopped working after he worked on Pacific Rim in their lighting department. That was around age 84. He's retired now. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Either way, I ain't quittin' my day job to become a photographer. So it's really not bad news for me. I don't profess to be any good at photographing.

Photoshop the houses out and you'll have a photo of your car on the high banks of Daytona!

I don't have Photoshop but anyone who does feel free. If I had and knew Photoshop I might put red on the moon.

Fall/winter is the best time to drive. Less people on the road, car runs cooler, no change of vapor lock.
Went 400 miles a few weeks back and getting ready for an 800+ miles trip
Should be fun
