Post by: Shelbypat on October 23, 2019, 12:54:23 PM
Hi, I have visited a friend's B2 1969 ground up restauration and saw the dual exhaush wire hole on the right trunk floor hand made and rough made. Anybody know something about it ?

Some one may have chosen (not smartly) to run the line into the trunk and mount the electric fuel pump there as a modification. If the car was not a Boss 9 another possibility would be battery cable hole

Jeff. This hole is located at correct and original location for the gas sender wire.  The yellow and white stripe one. But funny to see it rough like that. The way I can explain it is assembly line ran out of the side hole trunk floor and they installed standard floor without this hole and handmade it fastly.

Yes realized that but have seen others use the same hole rather than drill others

Not sure why they would have started the build especially since its a part used in the first part of assembly, without the parts being available. Something that managers have stated would not have taken place but it may have - we just don't know and can't prove it
