Title: Tilt away steering column
Post by: 427heaven on November 09, 2019, 11:20:21 PM
I am interested in a tilt away steering column for a 68 and would like to know if there is an easily identifiable marking on the column, and or are they interchangeable with other years like late 60s or even early 70s? Thanks in advance

The 1968 Mustang tilt steering column is shared with the Cougar. It is a one year only item, however, the 1969 column is very similar. Most 1968 Mustang, tilt steering columns were installed in the Shelbys. Outside of Shelby production it is a rare option. Finding the column is not hard, but finding working underdash components can be a challenge.
