So, I don't post much anymore but figured this needed to be done. I followed the other post on the new awesome 2019 shelby American publication waiting, but No one has made a comment about the story on Ed Meyer!! WTF! I don't know if everyone realizes his knowledge and true honesty and love for the hobby. The article has awesome and real stories on how he found cars which I have heard from him many times. to my good friend Ed congrats!!!!

Very well stated Chris
Not sure if I should congratulate Ed for being Ed or to us that can count on him as a friend :)
Would surely congratulate Jim Kreuz, the writer of the article, at capturing and assembling the comments in an easy to read article. ;) Great job
Ed is awesome
Always sharing his knowledge
Refreshing after being bombarded by nonsense by so many
I promise that I will read the story very soon.
Until then, the rest of you read it and understand what many of us have known for quite a while.
Well said Chris! Congratulations Special Ed!
First off I have to say I met Ed in the 70's. From that point on Ed has been a inspiration to me. Not only HONEST,helpful and a straight shooter. His knowledge on these cars we all love is second to none.He deserves all the recognition he gets and more.I congratulate him on the article. This is coming from someone that has been fortunate to call him a friend. I cant believe I wrote this much on a forum. Randy Sizemore

+1 . I have been working on a rehab and havn't read it but given all of the posts I plan on doing it first thing tomorrow. I have had a lot of Special Ed classes over the years . My favorite Edisum is - "Because that is just the way it is ." I heard that the first time on 3/28/09.
Great article! 15 years ago I met Ed when he pulled up in a SCJ Convertible Shelby with my mother, Donna. From then on Ed has treat me like his own and has continued to share his love, passion, and knowledge for cars with me. Every time Ed and I are together I learn something new and I would venture to say that is the same for many of us on here. The great article just shares a few of the great stories about the cars Ed truly loves and many of us are lucky enough to know the many more stories he has to share.
Congrats Ed!
Nate
Well deserved Mr Meyers, he is a class act
I love the button on Ed's shirt in the pic that Bob G shared. The bottom saying is very true for Ed's knowledge. And a great guy.
Made time to read the article this morning; a glimpse into the wide world of Ed.
I recall observing/meeting him in the 80's as he worked swap meets---you better be in front of him! I would eavesdrop while he was dealing with a vendor and learn a lot. Later, actually got to know him. He is one of the most knowledgeable (read expert) guys across performance Fords. He is willing to share that with others, as well as help out with parts. Yes, a straight-shooter.
Size sure could add some other stories.
Ed is a good friend. As so many have stated his knowledge is second to none however his greatest attributes are rarely found anymore. Integrity and honesty
I have known Ed for 3 decades. Great guy and I heard some stories in the article i had not heard before. I have learned a lot from Ed on 69-70 Shelby convertibles over the decades. Always winning to share. There is only 1 Ed and that makes him Special. :)
