Congrats on Bob for getting it bought. It was located just a few miles from my house. I had heard about the car, but was never able to see it. The owner(Jerry) passed away last July and I believe he was reincarnated as the cat,Shelby, watching over things.😉

The outboard cars with a "Z" stamp are probably true 90% of the time. Since most, if not all, of us have accepted the 4/27/67 date as the start of the 'Z' stamps, I suspect there were only a couple of weeks after that date until SAI started the outboard grille light installations.
I would have liked to go up there with him but I wasn't invited :( . I got a few phone calls before ,during and after. I think I could have made a positive contribution on some of the data. Oh well it was interesting to watch .
