Title: 3259 Carburetor dates
Post by: Shelby73 on March 25, 2020, 09:12:15 PM
Could a 3259 carb dated 5O3 have come on a early 66 instead of having a S2MS on it?

By "early" it would be best just go provide a range that your asking about. Something like 6S001- 6S050 or 6S753-6S879, for example,  might help someone to respond

An early 66 could be the first 252 on the 5R09K GT350s or early in the 253 and on production GT350's on 6R09K vehicles.

The date code 503 deciphers to third week October 1965.  It is not in the first 252 GT350's.  It is likely in the first 6R09K production cars November/December/January time frame.

Let me ask a different way. What month did they go from the earlier style 3259s to the ones that had S2mS on them.
