Title: 1970 Shelby owners manual
Post by: Steven Denton on March 27, 2020, 12:39:47 PM
How do you determine if a 1970 Shelby owners manual is an original or a reprint?  In 1979 I visited the local Ford dealer and purchased a 1970 Mustang owners manual and a 1970 Shelby owners manual.  Wanted to see what I had.

The printing is sharper not fuzzy and 70 mustangs have 4 dates   Shelby only 1

When I looked at my original I got from Jim Cowles and my repo 70 Shelby manual I could not really tell the difference in the print. But using a digital calipers the thickness is different on the 2 manuals. My repo manual is from the mid 80s that I bought when I bought my vert(I KNOW where my original owners manual is). Are the printings different over the years on the Repos Ed? Gary

I have seen more than 1 repo  vendor making Shelby manuals over the years.
