^^^^ Love the grin on the driver's face.

I wonder if that was supposed  to be CS?  He's well dressed.

I thought the same thing when I saw all those teeth and sun glasses !

Very sad news.... condolences to the family.

I recall my very first time talking with him on the phone, he treated me like we had been friends for years..... a true gentleman to all his extended Shelby family.

RIP Jim

I was out the other day (not in a Shelby product) and saw this unique pair of street signs.

I guess someone who developed this area in San Diego was a big CS fan.

Probably more so a fan of the Canyon......

Maybe I wasn't clear..... the Pertronix I was installed new July 2020 with a new Pertronix Blaster coil. I have run the car appx. 1000 miles since the installation.

The installation instructions included, were used. The system works well, but my tach seems to be reading 3-400 rpm low.

My question is.... if I put my previous stock coil back in, will this solve my rpm reading ?

Yes indeed. The Pertronics coil is lower resistance than the stock coil. So it gives a higher output to the plugs but ruins the performance of the tachometer.

Personally I prefer using the stock yellow top coils.

I wired per the instructions, but I replaced the old non-original coil with a new Pertronix Flame Thrower coil as I thought that is what was required for the HEI ?

Is that were I goofed....... ?

If I swap back to my stock coil on my Pertronix I conversion, will it correct my low reading tach ?

Thanks All.

Royce, somebody..... please. I dont want to try this and end up hurting something on the car.

Thanks for your help.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: What did you do to your '67 today?
« on: December 14, 2020, 08:41:42 AM »
Started wrestling with a small oil drip on one of the brass fittings from the oil press gauge line going into the block extension. I'm quite sure it would be a lot easier to get to if I removed the oil filter..... but no, I am determined I can get it as is even with my big hands !  While I was down there, I noticed a header flange bolt trying to back out a little, so that will be next as soon as I can find my 7mm allen wrench.

I believe there may be some sarcasm present when someone said they have theirs already.

.... or he has it mixed up with his 2020 Annual ?
