race day

This is CSX 2226, converted earlier in the summer of 1982 from a street car to compete in the GT1 class of SCCA racing. The photo is taken in the late summer of '82 and is at the old CDR (Continental Divide Raceway) just south of Castle Rock, CO.
Grungy guy on the left is me, the gent on the right is Grady Peacock. Driver/owner Bill Murray and crew chief Dave Murray are not shown in this photo.

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: 65 GT350 T10M speedo gear

Three speed and auto transmissions take driven gears with  one direction and same pitch. Both T-10 and toploaders are the same pitch on the driven gear, the teeth are the opposite direction. I am not near my speedometer gears at the moment. The drive gears are also geared in opposite directions.

I am in agreement about removing post count. I agree that its troublesome that again all knowledge learned here may be lost from a crash. The forum community has lost a vast amount of knowledge by those that have left the site, or a site crash or were driven away by nonsense. I do come here to learn about all of the various Shelby cars and the history, maybe have a laugh or two and contribute if I have something worthwhile to add.

Up For Auction / Re: 6S1387 - Bring A Trailer

I recall a thread with some input by Randy Gillis that there were a couple of variations on the opening of the scoop on 1966 hoods. The all steel hoods also had a different opening profile.

Is this a V-8 Tach or a 6 cylinder? Thank you, Joe

I believe the gentleman is looking for the sleeves that go between the body of the shifter and the slide where the "T" lockout is.
