I used a Scott Drake balancer on my car, it spun real bad. Had to send it out to the damper dudes to get rebuilt. Buyer beware on the new repo parts, all come from the same country that gave us the flu.

I finally gave up on trying to tune my 715. Found a 1960's 600cfm main body and Ford base plate with the correct linkage. Had it built with my Le Mans bowls and tuned by Wayne Richards right before his untimely death. Car runs great, no stumble and is very responsive and crisp.  Stock '66 G.T.350 4 speed. I've always said the 715 was too big for a 289.

As far as the inboard lights go not an issue.

Vehicles prior to 1976 are no longer require a bi-annual smog check. If a vehicle was brought in from out of state California does not make you retrofit it's emission system onto it. You don't have to do anything but be prepared to be bent over by the DMV for registration fees once they realize it's a Shelby.

Traction Master was still in Burbank across from the Old Lockheed plant when I got a new set of bars made because my old ones were badly bent. The guy that ran TM was great, he tack welded one end on so I could test fit the bar for a perfect fit. I also used new leafs with the half torque leaf added. No issues. I don't know if they are still there.

That's why I had Uncle Chuck sign mine. I go to cars and coffee park 6S1802 and the crowds stand around the fake Shelby restomod whatever the hell it is because the engine compartment is painted body color, it has 17" wheels and a lot of chrome. Maybe it's just the people in California. All Shelby Mustangs shared the same vision, performance. I'm partial to 65-6 but I like every year that they built.

My close friend and fellow G.T.350 owner has taken care of Herbie's cobra for 25 plus years and has had it in his possession all this time. The drive train in 2006 has never been out and aside from a valve adjustment the engine has never been opened up. The Autolite 2100 and manifold are original to the car along with the tach that's driven off the back of the generator.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I never leave the hood up on my '66 without being next to the car. One idiot with a screwdriver and the VIN tag is gone.

Be a man, run a locker. Just make sure your rear tire pressures are even or it might throw you around a bit.
