Wanted to Buy / Re: no N nodular 9" center section
March 11, 2021, 04:11:59 PM
Thanks for digging it up.   I *could* use it.... basicly, the vehicle I need it for got little to no prep after October '68, so plausible.  It got the most prep in January- April '68.    Would be interested to hear direct message with price if you guys find anything you'll part with.  It's for the '68 Mexican 1000 winning Bronco, so not a Shelby...

Wanted to Buy / no N nodular 9" center section

Looking for a No N Nodular center section.   Prefer late 67 or early 68 date.   SPECs considered.   What do you have?

Hahah, yes, Bigfoot, but a rainy winter and all the Fords inside are currently reinforcing my space issue.  I just got back from Spokane looking at yet another Mccollum-sold vehicle.   I too was too young to be around to see them, but the original owner of this particular Bronco, had a father who purchased every 2 years from there and rattled off another 4 or 5 high performance cars purchased there.   I had contact with a younger McCollum, I think John....I'll have to look him up again....will report back.

Thing is awesome.   I had a Stroppe Baja Bronco that went to McCollum originally.   Wish I was in the market for another Shelby.

The bike pulling pic is awesome!   Especially since I have some old 71 Yamahas too!!   Good luck with the search!

Yeah, agreed Jeff...I'm the same way with the baja broncos.  Thanks for your replies.  It sure is weird.  I think.  I know where it's been since 86 too.

Repops look nice in the picture on the web site.  and says they are the correct color.... not bad, I just prefer original parts when possible.  To each their own.

I have a '66 Hipo block, harmonic balancer, and intake that seem to be parts born together.   It does have a San Jose Mustang VIN, but before we get excited, it's a coupe.   (cant remember if I looked into trans am coupe date codes, but I believe i did....hmm.)  Anyway, I'll post some pics.   Take a look at the "K" in the VIN stamped.   A friend said it looks like they made the K with a Zand and 1 maybe.   Just curious if anyone has a similar K stamp on a Shelby or seen one like it anywhere.

I've taken original lenses to a detail shop and had them buff them out.  As long as they aren't cracked or faded, thats what I'd recommend.
