If you received one with your car, this is what was included: Detroit Locker GT350 booklet, GT350 owners manual, Koni shocks information sheet, how to care for plexiglas sheet (not sure why this was in the 1965 packet - I have seen these in the 1966 GT350 packet to care for the quarter windows), 1965 Mustang owners manual, and a 1965 High Performance Equipment manual."

Description:

This 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 was first used as a company car by Ford executive and Shelby American liaison Ray Geddes before being sold with a demonstrator discount to Nagle Ford of Rochester, New York, in May 1966. It was acquired by the seller in April 1991 from Robert Oswalt of Oswalt's Mustangs & Parts, and a refurbishment performed by Mr. Oswalt at his shop in Leesville, South Carolina, was completed in June of that year. The car is powered by a replacement 289ci HiPo V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and has been refinished in white with blue stripes over black vinyl upholstery. Features include Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, 10-spoke 14″ alloy wheels, Koni shocks, a dash-mounted tachometer, a push-button AM radio, and a fold-down rear seat. This GT350 is now offered with owner's manuals, copies of Shelby American documents, a Shelby American Automobile Club serial number verification letter, a Carroll Shelby Motors license plate frame, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller's name.

The car was refinished in Wimbledon White with blue Le Mans and side stripes during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features unique to Shelby Mustangs included a steel-framed fiberglass hood with a scoop and torsion-type retaining pins as well as a bullet-style side-view mirror, fixed plexiglass rear quarter windows, and fiberglass brake-cooling scoops on the rear fenders.

Optional 10-spoke alloy wheels are finished in silver and mounted with E70-14″ Goodyear Custom Wide Tread tires. GT350s were factory-equipped with Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes as well as larger rear drums than standard Mustangs.

The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl and features a Sport Deck rear seat, GT350-branded rear floormats, latch-and-link front seatbelts, a heater/defroster, and a push-button AM radio.

The three-spoke woodgrain steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer flanked by fuel-level, oil-pressure, charging, and coolant-temperature gauges, and a Cobra-branded 9k-rpm tachometer is center-mounted atop the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 600 of which were driven by the seller.

The replacement 289ci HiPo Windsor V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1967 GT350 and installed under Mr. Oswalt's ownership. Features include a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a high-rise aluminum intake manifold, a chrome open-element air cleaner, and finned aluminum valve covers with open-letter Cobra logos. Long-tube headers flow into a replacement dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers and side exits.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

A copy of the Shelby American invoice indicates that the car was sold to Nagle Ford of Rochester, New York, in May 1966 and lists an optional rear seat as well as a demonstrator discount of $430.44 for a total price of $3,156.

I just use the "Unread Posts" button at the top of the page and go through them one by one, so the "Recent Posts" list on the main page is not a concern to how I use the forum.  I find that using the "Unread Posts" button, I am able to keep up with all new posts since I last visited the site.  If I don't finish reading them all, I just leave the page open and come back to it later, but I am using my desktop computer....I'm not sure how others use it on tablets or cell phones. 

The "Recent Posts" has always been only a small sample of what is recent and not everything recent in a day or two is listed because it cannot fit them all at times.  I find all recent posts in the "Unread Posts" button regardless of how long it has been since I last looked at the forum.  It could be several days until I get back to the forum, but using the "Unread Posts" button I am able to catch up on everything posted in that time frame since I last visited.

"User Actions" is not visible if your screen is full size on a monitor.  It only says "User Actions" if you are on a smaller screen.

Above the reply box on the right it says "Reply" "Mark Unread" "Print" "No Alerts or Emails" when your screen is full size on your monitor.  Click on "Reply" and follow directions shown at the bottom of the reply box on how to attach photos. 

The items mentioned above are not visible when posting a new thread, it only appears on replying to an existing thread.  When creating a new thread, just follow the directions at the bottom of the thread box.

You can still upload photos to your gallery and copy the BB Code and paste it in your reply like before.  That hasn't changed.

I don't believe it ever was a "pull out" from the March 1965 issue.   My understanding is it was a factory showroom brochure written by Sports Car Graphic or also known as a "reprint".  A reprint of the article they ran for the magazine.   Actually both items in your photo are reprints or showroom brochures (see examples below).

In an old SAAC Shelby American issue there is discussion on how to tell a reproduction of the R-Model reprint brochure.  Someone reproduced it in the 80's.  Slightly different size and copy machine marks.  I will post the issue if I find it again.

This 1966 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350H was purchased by the owner in 1992. It is finished in black and gold over black vinyl and powered by a 289ci V8. Equipment includes a C4 three-speed automatic transmission, a four-barrel carburetor, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, Magnum wheels, a dual exhaust system, hood and bodyside scoops, a dash-mounted tachometer, and latch-and-link front harnesses. This GT350H is now offered on dealer consignment with an SAAC serial number verification document and a Connecticut registration.

Approximately 1,000 GT350Hs were produced as part of a partnership between Ford and the Hertz car rental company. This example has been repainted in black with gold stripes and features a hood scoop, driving lamps, plexiglass rear quarter windows, fiberglass brake-cooling scoops on the quarter panels, and a chrome bullet-style side mirror.

Chrome-plated 14″ Magnum wheels wear 215/70 Bridgestone Potenza HP41 tires, while a full-size spare is mounted in the trunk. Shelby chassis modifications included revised front suspension geometry, quick-steer idler and pitman arms, Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, and a larger front sway bar, rear brake drums, and traction bars.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a folding rear bench trimmed in black vinyl along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Features include a heater, front latch-and-link harnesses, and rear lap belts.

The optional three-spoke steering wheel wears a Cobra GT350 badge and frames a 140-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and amps. A Shelby-branded 8k-rpm tachometer is mounted on top of the dashboard, and Steward Warner auxiliary gauges are mounted below it. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles.

The 289ci HiPo V8 is fed via a Holley four-barrel carburetor mounted on a Cobra-branded high-rise aluminum intake manifold and was factory rated at 306 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque in Shelby trim.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C4 three-speed automatic transmission.

The car's Shelby American serial number is SFM6S1884.

Shelby American Automobile Club correspondence indicates that serial number SFM6S1884 aligns with a Shelby GT350 serial number recorded in their files.

The car is being sold on its Connecticut registration because Connecticut does not issue titles for cars older than 20 years.
