1968 Shelby GT350/500/500KR / Re: Rear end question
« on: May 20, 2023, 12:51:48 AM »
Yes 3.89:1 and SPEC case is 100% correct
If you can find a C4AW-B casting for $300.00 buy it!!! The earlier casting without the "N"  is just as valuable if not more to us with early cars.

Up For Auction / Re: 1966 427 Fairlane
« on: January 11, 2019, 12:14:15 AM »
This car was owned for many years by friends of mine here in Montana.  It ran the local drag strips back then with the moniker "Justice" before being restored back to the original paint scheme.  I was fortunate enough to meet Ed Terry and his wife when my friend flew them out to authenticate the car before the restoration...very nice, gracious people.  Ed shared a wealth of information and autographed several items for us, in return we treated them to a real Montana steak dinner. This was all a few years back, I can't believe the price range/value it has risen to today... and far from the old fairlane in my neighbors garage!

Wanted to Buy / Re: frost plug
« on: January 04, 2019, 01:35:15 PM »
I believe the updated Ford part number for these plugs is D7AZ-6026-B (10 per box). Years ago I bought two boxes to get a set with diamond logos all showing on the fronts.

If you need a single sheave alternator pulley I have a few C9AF numbered pulleys for a car with AC and power steering.

Reproductions are very good if not indistinguishable I will admit,  but these have been around  long before Kevin Marti's name was known and in my garage for sure.

The Lounge / Re: All 68 GT mustangs (non-Shelby) have tachometers?
« on: October 18, 2018, 04:52:11 PM »
Tach not standard on a regular 1968 GT Mustang, would have been an option. I believe the only model that tach would have come standard with would be a 1968 1/2 GT 428CJ with 4-speed transmission(8 grand). I would also think it would be called out as an option on the Marti report.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: Pictures from October 3rd 1982

Owen,
Interestingly enough 10 days later in 1982 I bought my first  "real" Mustang with money saved from a paper route as a sophomore in high school... Dark moss green '67 "A" code 4 speed GT fastback .  Still have a want for a Shelby at some point  but paper route money not gonna cut it now! Amazing we both still have these cars!
