might be from a 68.  There are two circles that appear to maybe be a date code.  one says 67 in the middle, the other 68.
Way nicer than the crap I see on epay.  Bought this in a pile of stuff at a local swap meet so likely off a rust free AZ car.

$40 with shipping.

Parts For Sale / Lemans Valve Covers - FROM THE 70s?
August 25, 2019, 02:45:02 PM
Bought these at a swap meet in Phoenix.  Have been sitting in my garage for about a year.  They have Shelby numbers on them.
$350 with shipping. Would look great in a cobra kit car or on your S code mustang.  We all know these aren't right for a GT500.

This has never been restored.  I would recommend restoration prior to use.  I installed a NOS one instead.
$350 with shipping.

Ran these when my carbs were being sent off for restoration.  No date codes on them so I am assuming they are reproduction.

Anyone ever blow out a PCV valve grommet?   Possibly mine was old and rotten, not quite sure.

Anyone have a part number for the correct one?

Guys,
I'm being told that I might have the wrong power steering brackets for a 1967 GT500,January build date.  What part numbers am I looking for on the brackets and does anyone have a picture they can share?

Thanks

what is his first name?  I think he has a profile called kingccobraa too?

Anyone know the correct parts numbers?  I am finding a ton of conflicting information online and then I know that Blue Dot makes some of the hoses but a few of their numbers are different too.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Are These Original Magstars?
March 31, 2019, 05:36:17 PM
Have a set of 5 of these old magstars.  Thinking of selling them but I am not sure if they are original.  Also, what are these selling for these days?

What is the correct engineering number for an oil filter adapter for my car, built date January?
#14
So one of my last items will be getting the steering box restored.  Any recommendations on who you would recommend?
Also, the box is not supposed to be painted right?  Of course, someone painted mine black along the way!
The numbers on the tag say "SMB-E", is this correct for a January 67 Shelby?  The date code is only 2 weeks before my car was built, is it usual to have a date code so close to date of assembly?

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / 67 GT500 428 Distributor Shaft
January 22, 2019, 11:29:46 AM
My distributor is the original one.  Having a hard time finding the correct bushings to rebuild it.  Would like to order before distributor from car. Found some 0.467" bushings on eBay. Are they correct shaft size?

Guys,
What are the correct bolts, washers, and nuts for the four fasteners on the cowl for the export brace?  I can only find aftermarket junk online and I'm sure that mine are not correct since the bolts appear too long (but who knows maybe I am wrong).

Pretty sure this car never existed except for one that found its way to Tasca.  Z Code, sure strikes me as a 390 car that has been repowered.   Cool car but I sure wouldn't believe that it is factory ordered, especially with that VIN.  Buyer beware

Getting ready to buy a pump from someone on this forum.  What pump pulley do I need to get for a AC car, GT500?  I know a 7AB is correct for non AC car, but Is a 7AB wrong for an AC car?  My AC is vintage air not original, my car started as a non AC car but I live in Arizona so having a car without AC is not possible.  Right now I have a 7AD on the current pump which is not the pump with the correct return nipple.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Speedometer Gear 1967 RUG-S
December 02, 2018, 06:40:21 PM
Guys,
I am having difficult getting my speedometer to read anywhere close to actual speed.  It's reading about 20-25% under the actual speed.  I know my differential ratio as it is newly rebuilt (all new) and I know my tire size.   I used the online calculators and it told me to buy a pink tooth gear (19 tooth).  What am I missing?  With 3.50 ratio differential, 4 speed, and 235 60 15 tires.
