Regional Shows and Events / Invitation to East Coast Grand Nationals
« on: April 04, 2021, 04:21:15 PM »
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!

Thursday, June 3rd ~ Sunday, June 6th

Team Shelby Northeast is at it again, celebrating our Shelby history for our 2021 event, and we would like to extend a personal invitation to our SAAC friends to join us. This year’s event has an overriding theme that will weave its way through the weekend. Join us as we recreate the thrill of the “Carroll Shelby School of High Performance Driving!”

As our Logo indicates, we will be at Pocono Raceway for a day of High Performance Driving. Additionally, this year we are collaborating with Ford Performance Racing School to offer formal driver training from a professional Ford instructor. If you are a novice and are looking for 'the basics', or consider yourself an advanced driver looking to shave a few tenth's of a second off your personal best, there will something for you to learn during our classes. If you are brand new to all this, consider our Touring Class option to get yourself out onto the track.

Besides spending some time up in the Pocono's, we will host a 150+ mile Poker Run with a planned stop at the oldest Brewery in the United States, participation in the Carlisle Ford National's, dinner in a 200 year old historic barn on an estate that is on the National Historical Register, private car shows, a "Thanksgiving" dinner, Team Shelby exclusive autocross competition, and even an ice cream social!

The weekend will be filled with friends, food, driving, plenty of beautiful automobiles, maybe a little bragging, laughing, Shelby family, and as we say at Shelby, "Some damn fun!"

Details and registration information can be found here....https://www.teamshelbynortheast.com/upcoming-events/
Once registered you will receive a confirmation e-mail with our host hotel information. If you are tracking your car (which you really should consider) our Track Steward will also contact you with more information.

Full disclosure: Due to the ever changing nature of the current COVID rules/guidelines, we are late on opening registration this year. Some aspects of this event are still in flux. To ensure everything we have planned moves forward, attendees CANNOT wait until the last minute to sign up for this year’s event. If you wait until we are within a 10 day window so you can see what the weather will look like, you will be too late (you cannot imagine how many people sign up in the last week!). Please sign up early (do it today if you know you are attending) so we know who will be joining us and we will be sure to hit our minimum attendee numbers long before the event. This is most critical for those who intend on tracking their cars. If we don't have sufficient track registration by mid-May (a minimum of 30 cars, not including Touring Class, and 15 students for Driving School), we will be forced to cancel our track day. So if you're a 'Track Rat', sign up now and bring a friend. All makes/models are invited to join in the fun.

See you at the 2021 Team Shelby East Coast Grand Nationals!

By popular demand....

Join Team Shelby Northeast for one if their last events of the year...

HOT CAKES AND HORSEPOWER #2!!!

Where: Shady Maple Buffet (The largest buffet in the USA), 129 Toddy Drive, East Earl, PA 17519

When: Saturday, November 23rd at 8:00am

Cost: $12.50 + tax/person

Join us for breakfast at the largest buffet in the USA. Located in the Lancaster PA area, and featuring home made Pennsylvania Dutch cooking, Shady Maple must be experienced to be believed. Everything is made fresh daily and prepared on-site. From their still warm doughnuts, omelettes to order, and custom made pancake grill (hint: try pumpkin pancakes with pecans and chocolate chips, then drizzle them with cinnamon maple syrup), there is no way you won’t find something you’ll like, and you certainly won’t leave hungry.

When you arrive, park all the way to the lot on the left, across from the banquet hall entrance (see map in the post). When you arrive, go to the reservations desk and tell the hostess you are with Team Shelby so she will seat you with our group.

Please post below if you will be attending so Shady Maple can get a headcount and ensure there is enough room for our group.

See you there, and if I was you, I’d stop eating at least 3 days prior to our breakfast.

SAAC-44 / WIN A NEW SHELBY GT......maybe
« on: May 14, 2019, 09:30:31 AM »
WIN A NEW SHELBY GT....maybe

Everyone who attends the Team Shelby Thursday Evening Dinner and Program (certain exemptions apply) will be eligible to participate in a Shelby Challenge event. This competition is more based on your luck, than your skill, but we will eliminate the challengers until one person is left standing.

If that person can successfully complete the final challenge, they will be rewarded with the keys to a new Shelby GT!
Yes, a REAL car…not a die-cast or a go-cart, but an honest to goodness Shelby automobile!!!
Details to be provided at dinner, and you must attend to participate.

Photo of representative car is shown. (This is not the specific car you will win)

2019 Team Shelby Carlisle Weekend

Friday, May 31st – Sunday, June 2nd

Join us as we celebrate the Carlisle Ford Nationals with a weekend of Team Shelby exclusive activities, friends, cars, and lots of ‘damn fun!’

If you have attended the Carlisle portion of our Grand National event previously, then you already know what the weekend holds. Although this years event stands on its own (since we will hold the Grand Nationals/SAAC-44 out by Pittsburgh this year in mid-July), it retains all the fanfare you have come to expect, and will have some new surprises as well….

Our hospitality tent, the largest club tent on the show field, will open on Friday morning to welcome you. Friday won’t be as rushed this year, and you will have more time to detail your ride, and wander the Carlisle fairgrounds.

Friday evening we will be moving to a new venue for our Team Shelby dinner program. I won’t spoil the surprise, but your gonna like the new place we selected. As part of the activities, we will host our “Cars Under the Stars” car show, as it has now become a traditional part of our visit to Carlisle.

Saturday will find Team Shelby/Shelby American on the Carlisle Main Stage for a walk-around with one of the latest Shelby vehicles. We will host lunch in our tent, and announce the winners of the “Cars Under the Stars” show. In the afternoon, take part in the Carlisle burn-out contest (if your tires are up for it), then stay to see who is crowned Ms. Carlisle.

Although we try to ‘change things up’ every year, when we hit on something good, were not opposed to doing it again…especially when there is an overwhelming demand from the Shelby team. Because you asked for it, we will be go-carting again on Saturday night! You’ve had a year to hone your skills, and lick your wounds, so this years battle should be even more competitive. We will also be having a ‘cookout’ style dinner at the go-cart track.

Stop by the fairgrounds Sunday morning to see if you have won an award from Carlisle, take a last walk through the show field, say goodbye to friends, and take one last picture of your car before you head for home.
