I need a little advice

My son who turns 16 later this month started working on his Mustang SVO. The body filler cracked on the hood and the result is surface rust with heavy pitting. Body filler will have to be used to smooth it out, but what should I use to treat the metal? 

Not sure if any good rust treatment, self etching primer should be used BEFORE smoothing the Pitts out with filler. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone had any good luck painting "Goodyear" billboard white letters on their tires. I found stencils online for vintage blue streaks, and searched the internet for best results. Regular spray paint is likely to crack, paint pens tend to yellow. I was thinking vinyl marine paint might hold up. Any thoughts from someone's experience?

Can anyone tell me how the original 67 ten spoke finish was? Were they just machined finish on the lips or cleared? Just trying the best way to freshen them up and is it something I could duplicate myself.

I need to replace the brake light switch in my 67 GT350 and have been looking online for one. I have found that they list a specific 67-68 power disc switch, while others list generic switches.

What would be the difference on the 67 power disc vs. a 69 or drum brake switch?
Any recommendations on a quality source for one?
